Bharat is married to Nisha a schoolteacher, loving and caring but doubting wife concerned more about Bharat’s promotion from cashier to manager at the bank than his flying tricks at the ‘Ramleela’. The small and happy family lives with a forced upon guest Amita, a young, beautiful girl who works at a call center, forgets her ID at home and likes to hitch a ride with Bharat on his scooter when he is not busy dropping his wife at school. Did I forget to mention, Bharat drives a Scooter, the sidekick of this story. Bharat wants to graduate from his role as ‘Hanuman’ to ‘Lord Ram’ someday which is being portrayed by Sattu Thripati, younger brother of MLA Manku Thripati, both having individual problems with him. Sattu, a bad actor is always unhappy that ‘Hanuman’ steals the show with his performance and Manku the MLA is unhappy over Bharat’s refusal to let out his extra room to campaigning for his re-election. Adding Sugar on Spice is the fact that Bharat’s father ShivNarayan befriends the opposing candidate Mohanlal and lets out the room to him for his campaign. One night Hawaldar Parshuram Khushwaah comes knocking on Bharat’s door informing him about the theft of a Table-fan from his household. Khushwaa orders Bharat to come at the small court where local panwala Bacchu Gulkand, will appear as witness to confess about skilled thief Chunnu Farishta’s, actual confession about stealing the fan from his house much to Bharat’s reluctance. At the court, firstly the witness fails to turn up, later the judge takes an unduly holiday and Bharat has to appoint a lawyer suggested to him by Chunnu recommended by Khushwaa. Somehow, Bharat manages to bribe his way from the cops to the criminals, from the witness to the lawyer and finally the judge to get his fan back. Now the real act begins for Bharat here onwards, the ordinary fan of everyday usage meant at providing a cool breeze on hot days, turns his life into a metaphorical remark aimed at the system by making this part time cahier slash hanuman into the front page national news heard from lane to lane filled with thieves. How? Let’s Find Out India.

Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Issued Notices to Combat piracy of Films & Music

Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has Issued Notices to Combat piracy of Films & Music Mumbai, December 20, 2011: Let’s not indulge in Piracy: “Its a crime” will be soon imbibed as a culture in the minds of youth. The latest action taken by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of issuing notices will go long way in building culture of respecting Intellectual Property informs Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Secretary General, FICCI. As per a notice issued by Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB), Multiplex Owners shall now have to screen anti-piracy clip to educate consumers about the ill effects of piracy. The clippings have been prepared by FICCI, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The Ministry has issued such notices under section 12(4) of the Cinematographic Act, upon the request made by FICCI, as per which the Multiplex Owners are obliged to screen the videos, contravention of which may have implications of the license issued to Multiplex Owners. During a recent conference held by FICCI-IPR Division in Mumbai under the aegis of “FICCI-MHRD-Anti-Piracy Coordination Cell”, it was highlighted that Cineplexes are majorly used as a platform for piracy. The unscrupulous elements often indulge themselves in the act of piracy by camcording/recording the films through various technological means in Cineplexes while these are being shown. Later such films find their way on internet and flood the market through pirated CDs. As piracy is not only affecting the film producers but the government is also a party to the losses in form of taxes slipping out of their hands. The act of Piracy is done through Multiplexes, CD, internet websites etc. It has been seen in the past that major source of Piracy is through multiplexes. As per the latest statistical data of 2010 given by India Entertainment Media Outlook 2011[1], the loss that piracy has caused to entertainment industry is INR 5.2 billion. Piracy is not a new word in the dictionary of Crime. The Indian entertainment industry started getting affected with it from the time, when the movie KALA PATHER (1979) hit the Indian Cinemas. Time and again various steps have been taken by the Government and the industry, however till date there was no conclusive step. One Pirated copy of the film recording uploaded on the web leads to huge amount of loss for the Producer, and others employed in the Business of Film making. At times producers are not even in the position to recover their investment. The government losses the revenue (taxes) which it would have charged on the profits of the Producer. The initiative has been well received by Industry. “FICCI on behalf of its members appreciates the prompt and effective action of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in issuing such notice”. This serves as one of the milestones achieved by FICCI–MHRD-Anti Piracy Coordination cell in the realm of combating the issue of piracy MEDIA DIVISION Taresh Arora Media Relations Officer FICCI Industry’s Voice for Policy Change Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi 110 001

The film is also the first animated film to have made new inroads into smaller centres having opened simultaneously across India in smaller cities like Alwar, Gwalior, Akola, Amravati, Madurai, Salem, Trichur and many more. Mr. Kercy Daruwala, Managing Director - Sony Pictures India said, "Not only is the animated genre gaining ground amongst all age groups in India, but Tintin is unique in the sense that the franchise is enjoyed and appreciated by a very wide audience right from kids to adults who grew up on Tintin. There is an amazing passion for both the franchise and the film in India with even celebrities like Aamir Khan giving the film an enthusiastic thumbs-up. Naturally, this is reflected in the wide release the film is getting in the country. The film’s collections have increased day upon day and we expect to see the film sustain strongly based on excellent word of mouth.” The Adventures of Tintin has already garnered over $159m in box office collections through its recent release in Europe alone and has broken several records in countries like France and Belgium while sustaining strongly in the weeks following the initial release. India was the best new territory to open this week. Apart from these, the studio’s line-up is filled with blockbusters like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Men in Black 3, The Amazing Spider-Man and Skyfall (earlier known as Bond 23). CLUB PENGUIN GETS MORE SOCIAL WITH DEBUT OF NEW FEATURES

CLUB PENGUIN GETS MORE SOCIAL WITH DEBUT OF NEW FEATURES The #1 Virtual World for Kids Debuts New Chat and Friends Systems Designed to Make Communicating and Playing in Club Penguin Easier and Safer Mumbai, October 31, 2011—Club Penguin (clubpenguin.com), the #1 virtual world for kids with more than 150 million registered players, today introduced new Chat and Friends tools. With these new tools, which will begin to roll out today and be available for all users in the coming weeks, Club Penguin has completely overhauled its in-world communications tools, and designed systems to create a safer and more social experience for kids online. The new Chat system allows kids to communicate faster more efficiently by automatically completing words and phrases as they type. The patent-pending system was developed by a team of Disney computational linguists, producers and engineers, and represents one of the safest and most advanced Chat technologies for kids. It incorporates six years of learning from player behavior in Club Penguin, and includes a database of nearly 300,000 approved phrases in each of the virtual world’s four supported languages globally. Chat has become one of the most popular features in Club Penguin, and each day millions of kids exchange more than 56 million Chat messages. The enhanced Friends functionality allows players to better organize, find, and visit their penguin friends. The new features change the way kids connect with one another in the virtual world by allowing them to choose best friends and add new friends by searching for specific penguin names. Each player is also now represented with a personalized penguin avatar in the friends list, rather than just their penguin names. Additionally, in the coming weeks, Club Penguin will launch a “jump” feature that allows kids to easily travel to the location of their penguin friends. “We've added powerful social networking technologies to the biggest online world for kids, making it much easier for kids to find and connect with each other in Club Penguin,” said Nitin Chawla, vice president, Disney Interactive Media Group, India. “The new Friends and Chat systems are the most significant enhancements we’ve ever made to Club Penguin and we're just getting started.” More details on the new Club Penguin features follow: NEW CHAT SYSTEM MAKES COMMUNICATING EASIER, MORE EXPRESSIVE CHAT SYSTEM THAT FILLS IN THE BLANKS—The new Chat utilizes a proprietary algorithm that enables players to type only part of a phrase or sentence and have the anticipated phrase automatically completed, word-by-word as the player types. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PHRASES —Club Penguin worked with computational linguists to design this program as an easy and safe way for kids to communicate. The program currently encompasses nearly 300,000 approved phrases, which have been identified based on six years of Chat history in Club Penguin. CONTINUED COMMITMENT TO SAFETY — The new Chat evolves Club Penguin‘s screening technology from one based on pre-approved and banned words to a system built on pre-approved phrases. Because every phrase used in the new Chat system has been previously screened and pre-approved, it’s designed to give kids the ability to easily communicate, but not share any personal information or abusive language. MULTI-LINGUAL – The enhanced Chat functionality has been translated across four languages making it accessible to Club Penguin’s global audience. The new Chat is available in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. FRIENDS LIST BECOMES MORE PERSONALIZED FULLY CUSTOMIZED PENGUIN AVATARS—Until now, the “Friends” lists in Club Penguin featured penguin names only. Now fully customized penguin avatars and backgrounds will represent each friend on players’ lists, and these customized penguins will appear transparent to denote that a friend is currently offline. Additionally, a cleaner user interface will allow players to more easily organize and locate friends. TAG YOUR FAVORITE PENGUINS AS BEST FRIENDS—Friends who are communicated with most frequently, based on friends who you jump to play with, send a postcard to, visit their igloo, and stampbook with most frequently will appear at the top of the list. Penguins will also be able to tag fellow penguins as “best friends” so they appear on top of their lists. Once a penguin has exceeded 10 friends, they will be able to tag "best friends.” BETTER TOOLS FOR LOCATING FRIENDS AT CLUB PENGUIN HOT SPOTS — A new and improved Friends interface will allow players to instantly locate where their friends are in world so they can easily meet up with them, regardless of which server they are using. ADDING NEW FRIENDS HAS BEEN SIMPLIFIED—Players just need to enter another penguin’s name into the search box and send a friend request. ELIMINATE PENGUINS FROM YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN—The Friends list now contains an icon that empowers kids to “turn off” players they don't want to be contacted by or interact with in Club Penguin. These players can now be completely hidden from a player’s screen, which offers increased protection for players. “JUMPING” TO LOCATIONS IN-WORLD TRAVEL OR “JUMP” WITHIN THE WORLD IS MORE FUN AND IMMERSIVE—Images of penguins jumping into box will appear on screen to showcase their journey to meet up with friends in other locations. “JUMP” TO FAMOUS PENGUINS —Club Penguin is making it easier to discover and visit the “Famous Penguins” of the island, such as Captain Rockhopper and Aunt Arctic. When the Famous Penguins visit the world, players will be alerted at random to their whereabouts so they will have the opportunity to “jump” to them to enjoy this unique experience.
