Bollywood and beyond

The eighth Indian Film Festival 'Bollywood and beyond', organized and hosted by the Filmbüro Baden-Württemberg, is the largest Indian film festival in Europe. From 20th to 24th July, 2011 a wide selection of Indian movies and various supporting events introduce the German and European audience to the variety that Indian film and culture have to offer.

'Bollywood and beyond' started out as a celebration of the town twinning between the cities of Stuttgart and Mumbai in 2004. The festival supports the Indo-German cultural exchange. Putting Indian films of different genres into the spotlight, it celebrates the diversity of Indian film and culture.

Screening over 50 Indian art house films, documentaries, short and feature films as well as big Bollywood blockbusters, the festival aims to create an original and authentic reflection of Indian culture and everyday life.
