Shahrukh Khan and NVIDIA bring GeForce G.One

Shahrukh Khan and NVIDIA bring GeForce G.One Signature Edition Graphics Cards MUMBAI – India, 15th October, 2011: Megastar Shahrukh Khan presented gaming enthusiasts in India with an exciting new proposition by launching the NVIDIA GeForce G.One Signature Edition graphics cards. Available in two different designs, the NVIDIA GeForce G.One Signature Edition cards will equip PCs to deliver a best-in-class visual experience while watching movies, playing games or even simply browsing the web. “NVIDIA provided the technology which made the mind-blowing VFX in Ra.One possible,” said Shahrukh Khan. “Entertainment is evolving – movies and games are irresistibly connected and Ra.One is a perfect example. This movie is actually about a computer game! Just as GPUs were fundamental to the making of Ra.One, they are the key ingredient in every PC.NVIDIA GeForce G.One Signature Edition graphics cards put the same GPU technology which made Ra.Onein the hands of consumers to power their personal entertainment hub, the PC.” Shahrukh Khan also felicitated the champion gamers who had emerged victorious in the various tournaments held through the day. NVIDIA GeForce LAN saw an overwhelming response with more than 1000 enthusiasts registering to participate in the tournament held on the 14th of October, 2011. At the end of the day-long gaming battle, only six emerged victorious from amongst nearly 600 gamers who battled it out for the crown of the ‘Ultimate Gamer’. “Both NVIDIA and Shahrukh Khan’s passion for gaming has been brought together at this massive gaming tournament. And the GeForce G.One Signature Edition graphics card are testimony to that,” stated Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director, Asia – South, NVIDIA. “NVIDIA has always been at the forefront of visual technology. We are proud to partner with Ra.One to bring avid gamers an experience they will cherish!” Shahrukh Khan’s VFX studio and NVIDIA have had a long-standing association. Shahrukh Khan’s ‘red chillies.vfx’ has partnered with NVIDIA to accomplish the massive VFX feats in the action-packed movie, Ra.One. The movie, believed to be the largest VFX project in Bollywood, employed NVIDIA as its exclusive technology partner to help deliver the complex visual effects in a cost-effective and timely manner. About NVIDIA NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) awakened the world to the power of computer graphics when it invented the GPU in 1999. Moneyball opens MAMI

MONEYBALL opens the Mumbai Film Festival on Thursday, 13 October. Pls scroll below for new stills from the film. The film releases in theatres on 18 November. MONEYBALL Genre: Drama Director: Bennett Miller Cast: Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman Synopsis: Based on a true story, Moneyball is a movie for anybody who has ever dreamed of taking on the system. Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland A’s and the guy who assembles the team, who has an epiphany: all of baseball’s conventional wisdom is wrong. Forced to reinvent his team on a tight budget, Beane will have to outsmart the richer clubs. The onetime jock teams with Ivy League grad Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) in an unlikely partnership, recruiting bargain players that the scouts call flawed, but all of whom have an ability to get on base, score runs, and win games. It’s more than baseball, it’s a revolution – one that challenges old school traditions and puts Beane in the crosshairs of those who say he’s tearing out the heart and soul of the game.
